Tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen, enter your email, and check your inbox for a reset link. The link will let you set a new password. Check your spam folder if you don't see it within a few minutes.
If you previously used Bible Brief through our website before the app launched, you may need to set up a new password for the mobile app. Tap "Forgot Password" to receive a link to create your app password.
If you had an account on our legacy website, we've preserved your progress! Simply log in with your original email and follow the prompts to set up your mobile app password. Your historical activity will be migrated automatically.
Open Settings (gear icon), scroll to the bottom "Danger Zone" section, and tap "Delete Account." You'll need to confirm twice. This permanently deletes all your data including progress, rubies, and achievements.
Audio & Playback
First, check your internet connection. If the issue persists, try closing and reopening the app. You can also download episodes for offline playback to avoid streaming issues.
Navigate to the Podcasts tab, find the episode or level you want to download, and tap the download icon. Downloaded episodes will play even without an internet connection. You can manage your downloads in Settings.
While audio is playing, tap the speed button (e.g., "1x") in the player. You can choose from multiple speeds: 0.5x, 0.75x, 1x, 1.25x, 1.5x, 1.75x, and 2x.
Go to Settings → Playback and make sure "Auto-play podcasts" or "Auto-play Bible audio" is enabled. Auto-play will continue to the next episode or chapter when the current one finishes.
Streaks & Gamification
Streaks update based on lesson completion, not just opening the app. Make sure you complete at least one lesson each weekday. Note: Weekends (Saturday/Sunday) don't require activity—your streak is protected!
Streak freezes protect your streak when you miss a weekday. You can purchase freezes with rubies from the Shop. When you miss a day, an unused freeze is automatically applied to save your streak. You can hold up to 2 freezes at a time.
Rubies are earned by completing lessons, topics, and quizzes. Make sure you're marking content as complete. If your streak is active, you'll earn a 1.5x bonus on all rubies earned!
Cards & Collectibles
Cards are purchased with rubies from the Cards tab. Each card costs rubies based on its rarity tier: Common (25), Uncommon (50), Rare (100), Epic (175), or Legendary (300). Cards feature biblical people, places, items, and ideas.
Keep learning! Complete more lessons and maintain your streak for the 1.5x bonus. Rarer cards cost more rubies—Legendary cards cost 300 rubies—but you'll get there with consistent learning.
Bible Reader
The Bible reader requires an internet connection to fetch text. Check your connection and try again. If problems persist, try switching Bible translations in the Bible settings.
In the Bible tab, tap the translation name at the top to see available versions. We support multiple translations including ESV, NIV, NLT, KJV, and more.
Some Bibles have separate audio filesets for Old and New Testament. Try navigating to the chapter again. If issues persist, try selecting a different translation that has unified audio.
Notifications
Check that notifications are enabled in your device's Settings for Bible Brief. Also ensure you've granted notification permissions when the app first asked. You may need to reinstall the app if you initially denied permissions.
You can disable notifications in your device's Settings → Notifications → Bible Brief. Turn off "Allow Notifications" to stop all push notifications from the app.
Progress & Sync
Progress requires an active internet connection to sync. If you've been learning offline, progress will sync when you reconnect. Try refreshing the Home tab by pulling down, or close and reopen the app.
Make sure you watched or listened to the full lesson and the progress bar reached 100%. Lessons are only marked complete after full consumption. If the issue persists, try closing and reopening the app.
