The Bible Brief was created by Andrew Snyder and is a project of the Bible Literacy Foundation. Andrew has a passion for helping people understand the Bible as one unified story pointing to Jesus.
The Bible Brief is for anyone who wants to learn the Bible. That said, as Christians, we take the Bible seriously. We generally align ourselves with the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message, which we consider to be a faithful attempt at summarizing core Biblical teachings and belief. The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction.
You can start with the Bible Brief in three ways: Listen to the Podcast (available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more), use the Bible Brief App (available on iOS and Android), or read the Bible Brief Book. All three cover the same content, so choose what works best for your learning style!
Any Bible translation will work with the Bible Brief! We recommend a readable translation like the ESV, NIV, or NLT. The important thing is that you have a Bible you'll actually read. If you don't have one, many Bible apps offer free access to multiple translations.
Yes! While many people like to start on January 1st with the annual podcast republishing, you can begin the Bible Brief whenever you're ready. The app and book allow you to start immediately and go at your own pace.

The Bible Brief is designed for adult learners. While older teenagers might benefit from the content, we recommend finding age-appropriate Bible resources for younger children. That said, families often enjoy going through the Bible Brief together and discussing it as a family.
